Internal Residual Spraying

Internal residual spraying is a great way of preventing malaria. This is a process in which one of twelve insecticides approved by the FDA, of which DDT is one, is sprayed on the internal walls of homes. This prevents mosquitoes from entering the home and infecting the residents with malaria.

Most malaria transmission occurs at night!

Mosquito bed nets are crucial in preventing malaria. Net Guarantee LLC is an organization with the mission of distributing long lasting insecticide-treated mosquito nets throughout Africa. Insecticide-treated bed nets are approximately 2 times more protective than traditional mosquito nets, and have the added benefit of also providing at least some protection to people in the surrounding vicinity.
